FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Red and Green Come Early This Season, Starting November 1st
Red Dog House and Green Dog Inc. Team Up to Spread Cheer for Animals in Need
CHICAGO, (October 16, 2008) – Happy holidays, Chicago pets! Yes, it’s that time of year. Time to celebrate the bounty of Thanksgiving and the excitement of Christmas and Hanukkah. During November and December, Red Dog House and Green Dog Inc. are lending a helping paw to two pet charities and spreading Red (Dog) and Green (Dog) holiday cheer at the same time.
The green leaves have turned to red and soon bells and holly will take their place. While shoppers are stuffing turkeys then making their lists and checking them twice, they can plan on savings just by donating at Red Dog House and Green Dog Inc. throughout November and December.
In November, Red Dog House, Chicago’s premiere pet boutique, and Green Dog Inc., the ultimate eco-friendly canine daycare, are encouraging customers to donate goods for pets in need. Towels and canned pet food will be collected at both locations and donated to Animal Care and Control, a Chicago organization that rescues and cares for lost and homeless animals.
When customers make a donation, they also will receive 20 percent off discount cards for their next purchase at Red Dog House, located at 2031 N. Damen Avenue, and 20 percent off discount cards for their next stay at Green Dog Inc. located at 2231 W. Chicago Avenue.
During December, both Red Dog House and Green Dog Inc. are giving 20 percent off discount cards for the next purchase and overnight stay when a customer donates a gently-used collar or leash, which will be donated to New Leash on Life Chicago.
Both Red Dog House and Green Dog Inc. agree that donating to a good cause is the reason for both holiday seasons, and a gift that keeps on giving.
"Green Dog Inc. shares our sensitivity for pet charities, especially during the holidays when they’re in need of additional supplies and goods," said Steve Greenberg, co-owner of Red Dog House. "Holiday shopping is a prime time to encourage pet lovers to help others in need, including Animal Care and Control and New Leash on Life. Small gifts of food or gently used leashes and collars go a long way in the life of a hungry or homeless animal."
MORE ABOUT HOLIDAY GIVING
Red Dog House and Green Dog Inc. are working together to ensure Chicagoland animals are remembered during the busy holidays. Both locations will have hard-to-miss donation boxes - stop by either location during these seasons of giving to shop or stay and donate food in November or used leashes and collars in December.
